Nigeria tops Apple’s A-list of African Music for 2018

Apple this week released its first ever A-list of African music. The 49-song list is a hit list of music popular in the continent with all of the songs collectively getting millions of views on YouTube.

The list includes Sho Madjozi’s Wakanda Forever.

The country with the most songs is Nigeria which collectively has 19, followed by Ghana at 13. South Africa is a distant third with seven songs. Outside of those three countries, only seven other countries are featured including Congo, Cameroon, DRC, Kenya, Mali, Tanzania, Togo
