If you have not yet had a chance to catch the Twin Cities First Lady of Afro-pop, Carolyne Naomi, live you can do so at a happy hour during a Meet & Greet of Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area African professionals on May 3. The annual event is hosted by the law firm of Paschal Nwokocha & Chukwu in collaboration with Mshale Newspaper. The event which starts at 5pm is free to attend but RSVPs are required.
Naomi’s latest single, Las Las, was released March 16 during a sold-out standing-room only release party at Pimento in Minneapolis’ East Street.
Her musical career has been on a upward trajectory for the past year. She was among the featured entertainers at last year’s annual African Awards gala [1] last which was hosted at Target corporate headquarters. She has been the opening act for Wizkid, Olamide, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Diamond Platnumz.
