

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bernard Omari Ayako, age 47, on August 5, 2025.
Bernard was born on December 31, 1977, in Nyacheki Ward, Riomoro Sub-location, Kisii County, Kenya, to Florence Bitutu and the late Cosmas Omari.
Bernard’s early education began at Riomoro Primary School, after which he attended Kiomiti Secondary High School. With a passion for caring for others, he later pursued a nursing degree at Minneapolis College in the United States. His professional calling led him to serve in the medical field at The Orchards of Minnetonka, Minnesota, where he was known for his dedication, compassion, and kindness toward his patients and colleagues.
In 1997, Bernard married Zipporah, and together they were blessed with three children — Ian Omari, Collins Omari, and Elisha Omari. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a source of inspiration to his family and friends. Beyond his professional life, Bernard was an avid follower of soccer and politics, always engaging with enthusiasm and thoughtful insight.
Bernard is survived by his beloved wife, Zipporah; children Ian, Collins, and Elisha; his mother, Florence Bitutu; and siblings Rose Ayako, Risper Ayako, Linet Ayako, Everline Ayako, Rayton Ayako, and Richard Ayako. He was preceded in death by his father, Cosmas Omari.
Visitation
The visitation will be held on August 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.
Funeral Service
The funeral service will take place on August 24, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Faith International SDA Church, 7708 62nd Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55428.
