

Anoka County will host a free Family Child Care Provider Resource Fair next month to help current and prospective family child care providers learn about licensing, financial assistance and other resources available to start or grow a child care business.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Rum River Library, 4201 Sixth Ave., Anoka. It is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
Attendees will be able to learn how to become a licensed family child care provider, explore grants and financial assistance, discover curriculum and educational resources, and meet one-on-one with local agencies that support child care providers.
Organizations expected to participate include the Anoka-Hennepin Child Care Collaborative, Anoka County Child Care Licensing, Anoka County Library, Child Care Assistance Programs, Early Learning Scholarships, Empower to Educate and First Children’s Finance.
