HOPKINS, Minn. (Mshale) – Koisey Hiama was crowned Miss Liberia Minnesota over the weekend at the Hopkins Center for the Performing Arts. Miss Liberia 1975, Aurelia Sancho-McGill, was on hand to crown Ms. Hiama.
Among the talents contestants were judged on included spoken word and singing.
The Kofa Foundation organized and hosted the pageant and its executive director, Decontee Kofa, presented the new Miss Liberia Minnesota with a $4,000 scholarship check.
Hiama will now represent Minnesota at the Miss Liberia USA 2017 pageant in Philadelphia.
