If you have not yet had a chance to catch the Twin Cities First Lady of Afro-pop, Carolyne Naomi, live you can do so at a happy hour during a Meet & Greet of Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area African professionals on May 3. The annual event is hosted by the law firm of Paschal Nwokocha & Chukwu in collaboration with Mshale Newspaper. The event which starts at 5pm is free to attend but RSVPs are required.
Naomi’s latest single, Las Las, was released March 16 during a sold-out standing-room only release party at Pimento in Minneapolis’ East Street.
Her musical career has been on a upward trajectory for the past year. She was among the featured entertainers at last year’s annual African Awards gala last which was hosted at Target corporate headquarters. She has been the opening act for Wizkid, Olamide, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Diamond Platnumz.
