Remembrance: Aurlus Mabele and Manu Dibango

The coronavirus has taken the lives of two elderly African musicians in Paris: Manu Dibango, a Cameroonian saxophone and vibraphone superstar, and Aurlus Mabele, the king of Congolese soukous music. National Public Radio’s Nairobi-based Eyder Peralta remembers the two. Mabele died on March 19, 2020 and Dibango died five days later on March 24, 2020.
