Businesses and nonprofits in Hennepin County affected financially by COVID-19 can take advantage of a funding opportunity from state funding given to the county totaling $24.6 million. The grant application deadline is January 14.

Since May 2020, Hennepin County has approved $44.75 million in small business relief grants through four application rounds.

Those applying must directly have been impacted by Governor Tim Walz’s executive orders that shuttered some businesses or partially closed them as the state addressed the coronavirus pandemic. Entities applying must also have a permanent location in Hennepin County.
